Malden wildlife control tip of the month:

How to Get Rid of Pigeons

Having pigeons can be very frustrating. They mess up everything with their droppings and getting rid of them can be quite challenging. They nest around food sources, and houses and buildings have a lot of food around. Rooftops and high buildings are ideal places for that. They can easily find a hole in the roof and make a nest inside. That is why a wise thing to do would be to repair all the places where pigeons could enter, like holes in the roofs. Placing nets can also be a Malden pest control solution, but it can sometimes be expensive. There are also many other things you can do. People use Malden animal control repellents like placing spikes on their landing sites, you can also use broken glass or slippery bird slopes where pigeons cannot land on. A lot of other things are used like balloons with reflective surface, sticky liquid, spices, even scarecrows that resemble their natural predators such as owls and hawks.

The only problem with these Malden wildlife removal solutions is that they are not permanent, pigeons will get used to all that and they will come again, even in greater numbers. Shooting them is also a temporary solution because you cannot kill them all, and they will come back. Trapping is a method that should also be taken into consideration. There are legal ways of doing that and illegal. Setting lethal traps is strictly prohibited because those traps are not designed exclusively for pigeons. A lot of other birds can end up in it, and you could kill an endangered species.

Live traps are one good Malden animal trapping solution. A trap has to be made exclusively for pigeons since they are very fast and will escape if the trap does not close fast enough. Setting a trap is easy. Pigeons have to get used to a food source in the place where you want to trap them. Placing corn or seeds will attract them. Once you place a trap there, you should not set it immediately, but keep it open and let them feed in it. Then, after some time, you set the trap. A good thing about these Malden exterminator traps is that you can catch a lot of pigeons at the same time. But there is a problem what to do with them once they are caught. Setting them free far away will not help because they will come back easily. The only thing to do is to kill them fast and humane.
